A letter from the owner: Film making is one of my greatest passions and a lot of hard work. I’m proud of my accomplishment thus far as a guerilla filmmaker, but this third film will take us to the next level of filmmaking. You can look for us taking the gold. Thank you for all your love and support through the years. Sincerely yours, Bonnie Dennis Extra, Extra! Read all about it! - Ms. Dennis is currently in preproduction of her third feature film “Unnamed” for a 2011 shoot as well as producing films for other producers and filmmakers.
-
Bonnie Dennis finished shooting her first feature film “Those People” in SIX, count them six days. This ambitious filmmaker shot a story about a subject matter far more pervasive than racism...classism. Ms. Dennis along with her amazing team of producers was able to assemble a talented cast of 59 professional actors and a phenomenal crew. These people were able to come together and successfully shoot the film “Those People”. You can look for this film in 2010. You can look for the behind the scene of this shoot on "Those People" in the Photo Gallery.
- B.U.M. Productions, LLC did it! Our first film a short, “Can We Be Honest?”, a thirty-seven minute short that affords the viewer the opportunity to voyeur into a snippet of the life of Sage Brooks, a twenty-nine year old African-American Real Estate Broker who seems to have all of the answers to her life, except the one that matters the most. Our protagonist is forced to confront herself and her new Italian-American fiancée with the ever recurring question in each of our lives….Can We Be Honest? really honest with others and even more so with ourselves?
- “Can We Be Honest?” Premiere was a big success. The attendance was twice what we had expected and our host, SouthWestNY Restaurant was very accommodating. We would like to thank all who attended and hope you had a good time and enjoyed the movie. You can see photos of the premiere and after party under Premiere in the Photo Gallery.
- On Tuesday September 25, 2007 "Can We Be Honest?" screened at the Medgar Evers College Film & Culture Series.
